Scope
This policy explains how RoadCue and its developer, Kevin Mok (“RoadCue”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), handle information when you use the RoadCue mobile application, visit roadcue.ca, or contact us for support.

Location data
RoadCue needs access to precise location, speed, and direction while monitoring so it can compare your movement with a bundled database of listed fixed-camera locations and provide relevant alerts. This matching is performed on your device.
If you enable background monitoring or Automatic Protection, RoadCue may access location while the app is not visible. Automatic Protection uses location to detect sustained driving, begin monitoring, and stop after a period of continuous stationary time. You can use manual driving mode instead.
RoadCue does not transmit your location, route, speed, direction, or driving history to us. We do not maintain a server-side history of where you drive.

Information we collect
The RoadCue app does not require an account and does not include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not collect personal information through the app for profiling or targeted advertising.
RoadCue may store app preferences and operational state locally on your device, such as alert settings, permission-related status, and whether driving mode is active. This information remains under the control of your device and is not sent to us.
If you email us for support or submit a camera-data correction, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, app version, and location details included in your request.
Optional one-time tips are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment-card information. Apple may provide transaction records and aggregated storefront information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Retention and deletion
Because RoadCue does not receive your location or driving activity, we do not retain or delete that information on our servers. Local app data is removed when you delete the app, subject to your device and backup settings.
Support messages and camera-data corrections are retained only as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain support history, improve the camera database, meet legal obligations, or resolve disputes. You may ask us to delete personal information contained in those communications. We may retain limited information where required by law or necessary to document that a request was completed.

Your choices
- You can change or revoke RoadCue’s location permission at any time in your device settings.
- You can leave Automatic Protection off and start driving mode manually.
- You can stop RoadCue from processing location by stopping driving mode, revoking location permission, or deleting the app.
- You can request access to or deletion of personal information you sent to support by emailing us.
Revoking location access prevents RoadCue’s camera-alert and automatic-start features from working as intended.

Website
The RoadCue website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or web analytics. It is hosted using GitHub Pages. Like most hosting providers, GitHub may process technical request information such as IP addresses, browser details, and timestamps to deliver and secure the site. GitHub handles that information under its own privacy statement.
Links to the App Store, Medium, GitHub, or other external sites are governed by those services’ privacy practices once you follow them.

Children
RoadCue is a driving companion and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when RoadCue’s features, services, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest version. Material changes will be described here and, when appropriate, communicated through the app or App Store listing.
